Dr Erica Buckeridge

Applied Research

Erica is an applied research scientist with domain expertise in biomechanics and machine learning. She spent the early part of her career in academia, where she obtained a PhD in bioengineering from Imperial College London, UK, before moving to Canada in 2013 to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in the Human Performance Lab at the University of Calgary.

A post-academic career in R&D has seen Erica spend over 5 years with lululemon’s innovation team, and more recently, emerging wearable technology company FORM. She has additionally consulted for sports brands and institutions including Reebok-CCM, Adidas and the British Olympic Rowing team.

Erica’s main research interests lie at the intersection of data science and behavioural science. As such, she is most passionate about leveraging data driven insights to design and curate meaningful solutions for consumers.
