About the Author
Denise Hampson has been a consultant in the field of behavioural economics for the last 12 years. She has designed services and influenced policy for a wide range of public and private sector organisations, including several of the UK’s central government departments. In 2011 she was hired by NHS England as the UK’s first Digital Behaviour Commissioner.
She was a member of the Great Britain Track Cycling Team from 1999 to 2004, during which time she was British Champion and British record holder over 200m.
Prior to her athletic career she was a Systems Engineer at BAE Systems, specialising in human-system interaction and cockpit design on military aircraft. This is what started her career-long obsession with human-centred design and creating systems and services that are best matched to real human behaviour.
